We offer adapted music lessons for students of all ages and levels. This may be the right fit for a student who is highly interested in or motivated by music, but has a hard time maintaining interest or motivation when traditional instruction techniques are used.
We believe every child should have access to music education suited to their needs, no matter their processing style, attention span, frustration tolerance, or abilities. In adapted lessons, our main goal is to remove barriers to fostering and sustaining a love of learning music for years to come.
Adapted lessons are a flexible and highly individualized option for students who don’t always thrive in a typical learning environment. We help students learn music concepts and instrumental technique using a success-oriented approach that meets their unique communication style and attention span. Content, level of structure, pace, and even learning goals are adjusted based on each student’s interests, processing style, sensory needs, and more. Technical learning is supplemented with engaging activities to reinforce musicianship and theory concepts in order to maintain motivation and engagement.
